Seaplane Pilots Association Australia (SPAA) is a not for profit organisation staffed by volunteers. Its goals are to:
  • Promote the safe and responsible operation of Seaplanes.
  • Advocate for equal rights and access to waterways for Seaplanes.
  • Engage with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), Air Services Australia (ASA),  industry stakeholders and other interested parties on Seaplane related matters and legislation.
  • Foster high standards of Seaplane training and airmanship.
  • Provide support and information to its members.

As a member of Seaplane Pilots Association Australia you will become part of a great community. You will receive regular newsletters and information. You will also be supporting this amazing sector of the aviation industry.

Support Seaplane Pilots Association Australia with a donation

Donations to SPAA are greatly appreciated, and will assist in the day to day running of this not for profit organisation. There are three easy ways to donate:


1) Make a direct deposit (i.e. “Pay anyone”) transfer to the SPAA Bank account. The 'Seaplane Pilots Association Australia' BSB 032-189 and Account number 137540 (Please remember to put your name in the 'Reference' field so we know that you have donated to SPAA)

The Australian Seaplane community was shocked and deeply saddened by the loss of two lives in Perth on Australia Day. On behalf of all its members, SPAA expresses sincere condolences to the families and friends of the pilot and passenger killed in this tragic accident.

SPAA's inaugural Christmas Party was a great meeting of two organisations! 

A large gaggle of Seaplanes gathered at Grafton South Airfield for the SPAA Christmas Party last December. The whole weekend was a resounding success for both SPAA and Grafton Aero Club. We hope to organise another Christmas Party at Grafton in December this year!
